WEEK ONE
DAY 1 - Monday, May 9th
HEADER: Create a description for your blog that clearly communicates the information that will be made available to people who visit the site.
DAY 2 - Tuesday, May 10th
BLOG POST: Your civilization is now underway! I am sure that you and your group have thought long and hard about what path your civilization will take... are you going to be a war-torn nation of guns and tanks? Or, do you plan on making trade and embargo your main source of money and political power? On your country's blog, make a post describing what you wish for your country to become.
DAY 3 - Wednesday, May 11th
GADGET: Create a Google Calendar that outlines your plans for world domination and embed it onto your blog.
DAY 4 - Thursday, May 12th
GADGET: Add a "Quote of the Day" gadget to your blog that best communicates the philosophy/politics of your country.
DAY 5 - Friday, May 13th
BLOG POST/EMBED VIDEO: Compose the song lyrics to your country's "Pledge of Allegiance" (Not USA...). Identify and select a song that promotes the same core ideas and embed the music video/song onto your blog OR make a video performing your country's anthem and embed that onto your blog.
WEEK TWO
DAY 6 - Monday, May 16th
BLOG POST: BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE! Write a persuasive essay on how you could improve your country. Be sure to use examples of past events and/or real incidents that have occurred in your country that have led to current heights of success.
DAY 7 - Tuesday, May 17th
BLOG POST/LINK: Identify what you believe to be the most significant issue in your country and write a news report about it. Find a real news article that correlates to the news topic that is impacting your fictitious country and post a link to that as well.
DAY 8 - Wednesday, May 18th
BLOG POST/EMBED PICTURE: Make a poster of your country's flag, which includes your colors and symbols that mean something to your people. Post the image to your country's blog and explain the meaning of the colors and symbolism.
DAY 9 - Thursday, May 19th
BLOG POST/EMBED PICTURE: What national Holiday does your country celebrate? What happened at what date to make what day a holiday in your nation! Did the gods come down to Earth that day? What happened? We want to know! Make a holiday poster for your country that shows your holiday spirit!
DAY 10 - Friday, May 20th
BLOG POST/EMBED VIDEO: What ideas would your country like to spread? Now is your chance to show everyone! Visit TED (http://www.ted.com/talks?tagid=28) and take a look through the videos and choose one that communicates something about your country and what it values. Embed the video onto your country's blog with explanation.
WEEK THREE
DAY 11 - Monday, May 23rd
BLOG POST: Find 10 quotes that accurately define your nation and its political methods.
DAY 12 - Tuesday, May 24th
BLOG POST: Post two blogs about what's happening in your group. One message will be in English, while the other will be in Spanish.
DAY 13 - Wednesday, May 25th
BLOG POST: Make a post that compares an even in your country (at any time in its history) that compares to a current world event.
DAY 14 - Thursday, May 26th
BLOG POST: Create a post that describes the biggest challenges in your group so far.
DAY 15 - Friday, May 27th
